Registration

We appreciate your interest in the Dolphins. Please visit our website after January 1st for further details regarding registration for the 2026 season. If you are eager to get a jump on the 2026 summer season, consider participating in our Off-Season Stroke Clinics at the Louisville Rec Center.

There are two sub-teams within the Louisville Dolphins swim team. The Competitive Team is for swimmers aged 5-18 who have the skills necessary to complete rigorous practices and participate in meets starting the first weekend in June. The Developmental Pre-Team is for younger swimmers, generally 10 and under, who can swim a length of the pool but are not yet ready for competition. The Minimum Swim Skills page lists additional guidelines to help request the correct team during registration, but coaches will make final determinations during either Swim Assessments or initial practices.

It is our intention to place every new swimmer on either the Competitive Team or Developmental Pre-Team if they have the Minimum Swim Skills. In the unlikely event that our coaches feel a swimmer does not yet have the skills required to be successful on the Louisville Dolphins, we will refund the registration fee in full and offer suggestions for swim instruction to prepare the swimmer for a future Dolphins season.
